The Energy Efficiency Certificates ("TEE") can be bought and/or sold by interested parties through the conclusion of transactions on the MTEE, organized and managed by GME or, outside this market, through the conclusion of bilateral transactions to be registered, once concluded, in the TEE Register, organized and managed by GME.
ENERGY EFFICIENCY CERTIFICATES REGISTER (TEE Register)
After completing the registration process, you will be prompted to print the
TEE
Register Participation Application (“modello di domanda di iscrizione al registro”) that, with the Declaration of Powers of
Representation (“dichiarazione dei poteri di rappresentanza”) and, if the the operator notifies a tax regime different from the ordinary one during the enrollment process, by the Declaration certifying the tax regime declared (“dichiarazione attestante il regime fiscale dichiarato”), as well as by the
Release of
Liability Statement (“dichiarazione di esonero di responsabilità”) (if you are registering as an individual/legal person not holding a VAT number), must be sent to GME via certified email at the address: gme@pec.mercatoelettrico.org, or by ordinary mail or courier service to the following address:

After completing the above steps, you will receive a notification by the GME with your Ownership Account and Participant’s Account numbers.
After the release by GME of the authorization to access the TEE Register, you will be able to access the TEE Register by entering the login and password that you have chosen upon the company’s and users’ on-line registration process.
ENERGY EFFICIENCY CERTIFICATES MARKET (MTEE)
To be admitted in the MTEE, it must be sent to GME via certified email at the address: gme@pec.mercatoelettrico.org, or by ordinary mail or courier service to the following address: “Gestore dei Mercati Energetici S.p.A. Viale Maresciallo Pilsudski, 122/124 - 00197 Roma” the
Energy Efficiency Certificates Market Participation Application (“domanda di ammissione”), accompanied by the documents
mentioned in art. 16 of the Rules of Operation of the Energy Efficiency Certificates Market, and the
Energy Efficiency Certificates Market Participation Agreement (“contratto di adesione”), by using the forms annexed to
the Rules of Operation of the Energy Efficiency Certificates Market.
Following the adoption of the Participation Provision by GME, the subjects requesting admission to the market will be qualified as MTEE operators.
You will be able to access the MTEE by using the PIN code that you will automatically receive from the system after completing the
users’ on-line registration process.
Article 19, paragraph 1 of the TEE Market Rules, provides that market participants holding an account
by the TEE Register and a VAT number may submit offers/bids to the market.
N.B.: If you wish to buy and/or sell
Energy Efficiency Certificates only on a bilateral (or over-the-counter - OTC) basis, you are not
required to submit the TEE Market participation application or the market participation agreement.
Admission to the Energy Efficiency Certificates Market does not involve any additional cost for Participants, but it offers
a more secure and efficient trading venue, thanks to the buyers’ and sellers’ protection system established by the Rules of Operation of the Energy Efficiency Certificates Market.
