The Gas Market is open to parties who/which
-
have adequate experience and competence in the use of ICT systems and related security systems;
-
have not been convicted with a final judgement, or with a judgement applying the penalty at the
request of the parties, to imprisonment for market rigging (agiotage), for one of the violations
of the secrecy of ICT communications, for computer fraud, for fraud against the State or for income
tax and value added tax crimes as per Legislative Decree no. 74 of 10 March 2000;
-
have not been previously excluded from the gas market.
To participate in the market, the applicant must:

submit a market
participation application (Domanda di ammissione al mercato) in the format enclosed to the
Natural-Gas Market Rules,
accompanied by: i) a copy of a personal identity document of the signer of the application; ii) documents
certifying that the applicant (or, if the applicant is an organisation, the legal representative) meets the above
requirements; and iii) (if the applicant is an organisation) a declaration certifying the powers of representation
of the signer of the application;

submit a market
participation agreement (Contratto di adesione al mercato), in the format enclosed to the
Natural-Gas Market Rules, initialled
on each page by the legal representative (if the applicant is an organisation), where the contracting party declares that
he/she/it has understood the Natural-Gas Market Rules and that he/she/it accepts to be bound thereby without any condition
or reservation.
Upon admission, the applicant acquires the status of Market Participant Market Participants are entered into an
appropriate Register of Market Participants, created and held by GME in compliance with personal
data privacy legislation.
Market Participants are required to pay a (one-time) access fee, a yearly fixed fee (every 12 months, beginning on the date of
admission), a variable fee (for details, go to the "Fees" section). The obligation to pay the yearly fixed fee ceases only if
the Market Participant submits to GME a formal request of exclusion from the market.
(ATTENTION: a Market Participant that is not active in the market but does not submit a formal request of exclusion is held
to pay the yearly fixed fee).
