In line with the guidelines given by “Autorità per l’energia elettrica e il gas” (AEEG - electricity & gas regulator) in its Decision ARG/gas 145/11, Gestore dei mercati energetic S.p.A. is launching today the procedure for admission to its Gas Balancing Platform (PB-GAS).
The first market day will refer to the gas-day of Thursday, 1 December 2011; the corresponding session will open on Sunday, 27 November, at 9:00 a.m. and close on 1 December at 8:00 p.m.
The requirements for admission to and participation in the PB-GAS and the procedures for entry of bids/offers are specified in: i) the
Regulations of the Gas Balancing Platform, prepared by GME and approved by AEEG; and ii) the
Technical Rules, posted in the appropriate section of GME’s website.
Parties wishing to participate in the PB-GAS must submit the following documents to GME:
2. PB-GAS participation agreement (“contratto di adesione alla PB-GAS”) in the format of Annex B to the Regulations, duly signed and initialled on each page by the applicant;
3. if applicant is a legal person (organisation), a declaration
certifying the powers of representation of the signer of the application (under Decree of the President of the Republic no. 445 of 28 Dec. 2000) in the format posted on GME’s website (PB-GAS/how to participate) or other documents based on which GME will carry out a substantial equivalence evaluation.
Access to the PB-GAS electronic platform is restricted to the users that each Participant must specify in point 6 of the participation application (Annex A); these users will have to obtain a digital certificate compatible with GME’s information systems, as in the case of the P-GAS.
